Song we never played

Hey there people behind the wire
We hear your cries and saw the fires
Now we know what we got to do
We're coming to rescue you

Mr Howard Mr Ruddock say
You're illegal but we don't feel that way
We're gonna fight and scream for you
You're our brothers and sisters too

Why do we have to eat your lies?
Why can't we just live our lives?
You're afraid of us and
You're not so tough

Vaincherry @ Spectrum, Wednesday 22nd of September

It is the supreme privelege of Vaincherry to once again support the FolloW. They have come back from a tour of Brisbane and the Gold Coast to play a three week residency @ Spectrum... the Oxford St Club that is turning into one of the best live venues in Sydney. The first of their Wednesdays in September was last night and it was a display of how far KJ, Reuben, Isac and Azaria have come in such a short time. They kill it! This music speaks of now. A rare Reuben drum solo/interlude captivating. Isac your guitar in The Wave is magical brilliance... Azaria overcomes infection to inspire an audience who felt the hearts of these four artists. Resident artist Carrie painted the band as they played.

The Substitutes supported last night... I think they are a triangle of power, one of the coolest three piece bands I've seen live...

When we support next Wednesday @ 8:30pm our new songs will be played for the first time. Azaria continues to play drums in the absence of Stevie D. It should be a great night. Tell yer friends. $5 on the door, 34 Oxford St Darlinghurst.

Vic on the Park

Vaincherry may play their first gig since June on Saturday the 7th of August @ Vic on the Park, Marrickville. The FolloW are headlining.

Azaria played drums with Robbie and I for the first time today. Matt doesn't get back from Argentina till the 5th of August so he might be jetlagged for the gig and doesn't even know about it yet... still it would be great to play a gig before the band comp.

I saw Clear Fell tonight @ the Hopetoun. They filled the room, which was good for a cold and windy Monday night. They are progressing, playing beautiful music and surviving stabbing incidents.

UTS Band Competion

Vaincherry's next gig is on the 12th of August at the UTS Band Competion Final - Glasshouse Bar, Broadway Campus. I think we can win and go on to the regional final! It will be a slightly different line-up though. Our drummer Steve Dobson is on a spiritual awakening camp near New York City and won't be back for 6-10 months! Azaria will be filling in for him on drums (a change from his guitar/vocals role in the FolloW) and we are very lucky to have him. He's been present at a lot of our gigs and knows the songs pretty well. Any ideas for what songs we should play at the competition? We've only got 20 mins to show our stuff and last time we played Pale Blue, See This and Vaincherry.

ready?

are you ready?
I am.
Today is the day to get on with it, and start making it happen, this website thing.
